Year 3 Teacher
• Improving school
• Challenging/Rewarding
• Supportive environment
A primary school in the Salisbury area of Wiltshire are looking to appoint a Year 3 teacher as soon as possible and will run until the Xmas holidays. There is a possibility that this will be extended further, as it is to cover for the long term sickness of the current Year 3 Teacher.
The ideal candidate will need to be suitably qualified, as well as having at least two years teaching experience in year 3. They must also have strong classroom management skills and ideally enjoy a challenge.
The school is a small voluntary aided primary catering for children aged 4 – 11 years. In the school’s last Ofsted inspection (July 2008), it was given a Notice to Improve. A new headteacher was appointed shortly before the inspection and the school is improving rapidly under the strong leadership of the headteacher. This good leadership has empowered the senior management team and, together with the satisfactory governing body, they have a strong determination to improve the school and raise standards.
