The ILPH have been campaigning to try and stop around 100,000 horses enduring unnecessary long distance journeys to slaughter in Europe.

Together with the ILPH we can achieve the following goals

Rigorous enforcement of the EU Regulation, which means:
- Ensuring that horses travel in individual stalls on the lorry
- Horses are strictly vetted for fitness to travel
- Lorries stop as required to feed, water and rest the horses off the vehicle

-Finite journey times introduced into the Regulation for horses travelling to slaughter.

-The end of long distance transportation of horses to slaughter in Europe.

I am hoping to set up a local campaigning group in which we can brainstorm ideas to promote action, fundraise and generate support/raise awareness.
