A team of ten people that work for Zurich are taking part in their annual volunteering event – “Challenge”, a nation-wide initiative delivered through Zurich’s charitable arm the Zurich Community Trust. Each year over 2,000 staff get involved in completing over 200 challenges. During the summer our teams will work with local community organisations to provide help with decorating, gardening or organising events for them or organising day trips for the organisations clients.

We have agreed to brighten up a communal patio area for Underwood House and to make it more child friendly. Underwood House are based in Stratton and provide housing for families with children aged 0-16. This will not cost Underwood House any money at all and naturally all of our time is given voluntarily. The Zurich Community Trust will match any funds that we raise to cover supplies by a further 50% to help us reach our fund raising target to complete this challenge.

However, to help us deliver the maximum benefit to Underwood House we should be grateful if anyone would donate topsoil to create some raised beds for the area.
