The Learning and Skills Council (LSC) programme ‘ApprenticeshipPlus’ is seeking to help 150 LDD apprentices (those with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities) and 130 employers that currently provide work for apprentices.

Working in partnership with local Further Education providers, the programme aims to produce case studies and best practice data for similar future schemes. Other objectives will include the promotion of apprenticeships through potential recruitment routes such as local schools.

We are looking for Learning Mentors with previous knowledge and experience of working with and supporting those with LDD. They will have good communication skills and the ability to develop a supportive relationship with the Apprentices and provide assistance to the employers in order to overcome any barriers to the Apprenticeship work.
