Hi

I'm Steve, I'm the head of Guitar at Swindon's Academy of Music & Sound (within Swindon College/North Star Campus).

I studied at The Guitar Institute in London and have done GCSE and A-Level Music to A*/A Grade.

I also teach guitar peripatetically in two secondary schools around London (where I live).

I commute to Swindon 2 days a week usually during term time and teach private lessons after classes and during the summer holidays (term-time until 9pm, holidays up until 5pm as college closes earlier).

I have already successfully helped three students from the BTEC course to gain places on their chosen music degree and one student that has never studied music formally onto his place at Brighton's BIMM degree course through 2 years of private lessons and obviously some hard work and enthusiasm on his part!

I specialise in Rock/Pop/Metal/Acoustic/Jazz techniques and am more than happy explaining difficult theory concepts and showing you how to use these in your playing.

I'm also quite happy to teach you how to play your favourite songs if that's what you're interested in.
