The AV Support Technician will be working within a team to provide effective management, operation and support of the Defence Academy Audio Visual Systems and to encourage self-operation through user training and instruction in best practice. They will be responsible for ensuring that specified theatres are set up and ready for seminars or lectures and will be required to operate the theatre for certain courses and events.
The AV Support Technician provides first line AV and IT support to teaching facilities site wide to be delivered in line with contracted service levels, and will undertake the set up and operation of pool equipment in syndicate rooms and other locations on an ad-hoc basis. This role will also ensure that CCTV broadcasts are scheduled and switched to the appropriate location as the required, undertake acquisition of lectures, seminars, class activities and off-air recording by audio or video for pod-casts or further processing including simple digitisation tasks.
