A mixed comprehensive school in the heart of Swindon is looking for a Teaching Assistant for a long-term contract to cover on-going sickness. The school caters for approximately 1800 children with ages ranging from Nursery to 19. You will be required to work with Year 9 supporting the whole class, under direction of the teacher, in all of the year groups subject classes. The school can be a challenging environment so you must be able to deal with pupils displaying sometimes negative or challenging behaviour. Experience dealing with challenging behaviour would be highly beneficial.
The successful candidate must have previous experience working with children as a Teaching Assistant, have good people skills, be flexible and be able to engage well with children.
