We are looking for a creative, inventive and enthusiastic Chef Manager to take responsibility for restaurant for up to 400 staff on site and hospitality requirements. Standards of food and service are very high and the ideal candidate for the Chef Manager position must be retail focused and not only a talented Chef but a financially astute, switched on operator.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all areas of the kitchen operation and will manage food margins and stock control, using fresh produce to create innovative menus, constant menu development and menu costing. You will also be required to do the accounts and place orders, manage the Health & Safety of your Unit and be responsible for excellent food hygiene standards.
Good management and communication skills are essential. There is a team of 3 staff members; this is a very young brigade and you will be dedicated to manage, motivate, the training and development of the team. We are looking for candidate who will have strong leadership skills and be able to work under pressure. Good management and communication skills are essential.
There will be a lot of liaising with the client and you will be a strong communicator.
The position is a Monday to Friday role and would suit a candidate who is looking to develop a career and can demonstrate a real feeling for today's market - then this job could be for you. You will be a creative and dynamic team player and have a least 2 years experience in a similar role within corporate contract catering unit.
